Taylor Swift kicked off her Eras tour in Miami from Friday October 18th to Sunday October 20th. On the second day of her concert at Rock Hard Stadium, the singer revealed how she planned the stops for the final leg of her tour. Swift explained that she wanted an audience that would scream lyrics to “every single song.” The historic tour began in March 2023 and became one of the singer’s largest tours across regions of Australia, Asia and Europe.

How Taylor Swift decided on her tour locations

Just before delving into Lover, Swift explained that her tour had been “all over the place.” She said: “We decided that if we’re going to finish this tour, it has to happen at some point, we have to choose the crowds, the cities and the places where the crowds are going to be passionate and enthusiastic and shout the words to everyone’s single song, like the funniest crowd imaginable,” as People reports.

She continued, “So there was only one conclusion to kick off this final leg, and that is Miami, Florida!” The Blank Space singer also invited a special guest to the stage to mark her return to the tour after her break abroad celebrate. She welcomed her collaborator Florence Welch to the stage on Friday and Saturday to perform “Florida” from her latest released album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” Welch and Swift shared a sweet moment on stage as the former held the Calm Down singer’s head before pulling her into a hug.

Shortly before her first performance on the final leg, Swift shared a video of herself walking through the empty stadium in Miami, stopping briefly to pet one of her three cats, Olivia. She then took off her sunglasses in slow motion, captioned the video “Back in the office,” and added GloRilla and Sexxy Red’s track WATCHU KNO ABOUT ME.

Taylor Swift’s tour break

Swift kept herself busy during the break between tour legs by attending her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s games and romantic outings. The Kansas City Chiefs had a bye week earlier this month, after which the couple dined out on consecutive nights during their trip to New York. The couple was also spotted on a double date with Hollywood couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively in NYC. Swift will now head to New Orleans, Indianapolis and later Canada to wrap up her Eras tour in December.
