What if I told you that none of this was a coincidence…except when it was? That pretty much sums up the argument Taylor Swift fans are having over the singer’s new album Call Body.

On October 18, Swift debuted a brand new asymmetrical bodysuit in gold and black Call Part of the Eras Tour. Unlike many of her other sets, her original red and black snake suit had not changed at all since the tour began in March 2023. Aside from the color shift, Swift’s new Roberto Cavalli one-piece featured a striking cobra on her chest — a clear homage to Karyn, the giant snake who brought her to the stage all year long Call World tour 2018.

While some fans who noticed the change in real time immediately suspected that the new suit was a Reputation (Taylor’s version) Announcement, at the end of the first night in Miami they were proven wrong… or were they? According to some fans, Karyn wasn’t the only hidden Easter egg featured on the suit.

The color wasn’t the only thing Swift changed.

A Swiftie who attended the night of one of the shows in Miami claimed that the suit featured the letter two with gold beads on the back. “You see it most clearly at the end!!,” one TikTok user captioned two clips from Swift’s Oct. 18 show. “I CAN’T BELIEVE I SEEN THIS WITH MY OWN EYES.”

Of course, fans aren’t sure what that number could mean. Could that be a signal? debutthe rumored double drop from Reputation (Taylor’s version) alongside re-recording their self-titled debut album? Or did Swift use the suit to start a countdown? Representative (TV) Announcement on October 20th? Commentators have suggested both options. (You can watch for yourself here.)

However, many fans are not convinced that there is a two on the bodysuit. As many commenters have pointed out, the design in question appears to be another snake, with its body divided by the costume’s zipper. “Am I the only one who thinks it’s just a snake,” reads the top comment, which received over 11,000 likes. Meanwhile, one commenter thinks everyone is partially right, writing: “It’s the head of the snake, but it’s still DEF a 2 and has a double meaning.”

Frankly, I’m afraid the snake is really just a snake, although I love the fans’ theory that Swift wants to abandon Call The TTPD: Anthology Treatment by releasing a “second album of Vault tracks only.” After all, the songs were left out of the original Call Album is supposedly “Fire”.

Almost a year ago, Swift shared Time magazine that she really wanted to re-record Callthe album released after Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s “completely fabricated frame job” damaged Swift’s mental health and public image in 2016. “It’s a goth-punk moment of female rage at being pressured by an entire social structure,” she said of the album in December 2023. “I think a lot of people see it and just think, ‘Sick snakes and Strobe lights’.”

Please, Taylor Swift! We were so, so patient… Well, as patient as you can expect.
