Tara Davis-Woodhall from Texas wins gold in the women’s long jump Olympic final

Tara Davis-Woodhall is Olympic champion in the women’s long jump.

The former track and field star from Texas showed a tremendous jump in the long jump final on Thursday with a jump of 7.10 meters.

She led Tuesday’s qualification by 6.90 points, but was only 0.01 seconds behind the jump that won her silver at the World Championships last year and better than the 6.84 points that put her in sixth place in Tokyo.
