Take a look at the Bucks’ new site for in-season tournament play

The NBA unveiled its teams’ new home courts to mark the season’s tournament games – now called Emirates Cup games – and that includes a stark blue-painted court for the Fiserv Forum.

Last season, the league had each team build different courts to visually highlight the new season tournament, which ends with a championship in Las Vegas for the NBA Cup, and each court featured the trophy.

The Fiserv Forum pitch will be used during group play and the quarterfinals. The home games are November 12th against Toronto and November 22nd against Indiana. If the Bucks win a quarterfinal home game, it will be played on either December 10th or 11th.

Images of the trophy will once again be seen on the pitches this season, but these will be more team-specific and contrast with the home team’s Statement Edition jerseys. Each course was designed by artist Victor Solomon.

The Bucks’ entire court will be decorated in shades of blue, with antlers protruding from each baseline. The slogan “Fear the Deer” will be featured in court.

What is the Emirates Cup?

Created by the league last year under the name “In-Season Tournament,” it was intended to generate more interest in regular-season games and give the league’s stars a reason to play more games. The Los Angeles Lakers won the inaugural tournament under current Bucks assistant coach Darvin Ham. The Bucks reached the semifinals under then-coach Adrian Griffin, but lost to Indiana in the semifinals.

Which group do the Bucks belong to?

The Bucks belong to East Group B with Indiana, Miami, Detroit and Toronto. Last year, the Bucks went undefeated in group play and earned an additional home game in the quarterfinals.

Group games take place on Tuesdays and Fridays from November 12th to December 3rd and are the only scheduled games. All games will be broadcast nationally on TNT and ESPN (14 games total) and NBA TV (three).
