Sydney Sweeney’s new look will amaze fans.

The Hollywood star and “Euphoria” actress plays legendary boxer Christy Martin in an untitled biopic currently filming.

The plot of the film about the legendary boxer can be simply described as follows:

“A naturally gifted fighter, her life changed in 1989 when she met her manager and future husband, Jim Martin. She broke boundaries and became the first woman to sign with legendary promoter Don King and the only female boxer to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Her charisma, good looks and resilience in the ring earned her a devoted fan base and propelled her to become a world champion. But behind her polished public persona, she battled personal demons, toxic relationships and a brutal attack on her life.”

It certainly sounds like it will be an interesting film and the latest addition to Sweeney’s growing filmography.

She also looks completely different in the role.

Sweeney posted two photos of herself in character as Martin and wrote the following:

“Well, cats out of the bag thanks to a few stripes in the bushes, so here are some BTS from my film I’m currently working on. Over the past few months, I have been training intensively to bring to life the story of an incredible woman – a true champion who has fought both inside and outside the ring. Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength and hope, and I am honored to follow in her footsteps and share her powerful story with you even more soon 🙂

Most noticeably, it looks like Sweeney has put on some muscle and gotten into fighting shape, while also sporting some new hair.

I certainly wasn’t alone in my observation that Sweeney was able to build muscle and looked ready to fight. People flooded her comments and noted the same thing:

• I didn’t know Sydney was so jacked
• Ohh, she’s about to become a muscle mommy too??
• We strengthened Sydney before GTA 6
• Sydney Swoley!
• Girl, your muscles
• This transformation really blew me away. I’m excited to see what you make of it
• Oh, she’s swollen now

Sweeney has also previously revealed that she even has a bit of combat experience, which translates well to the film.

“I fought and did kickboxing from the age of 12 to 19. I’m itching to get back in the ring, train and change my body. Christy’s story isn’t frivolous, it’s physically and emotionally demanding, there’s a lot.” “But I love challenging myself,” she told Deadline in May.

Additionally, this will be an interesting change for Sweeney. Martin survived a brutal murder attempt by her then-husband. She survived being stabbed and shot during the attack.

Since the film doesn’t even have a title yet, there’s definitely no release date. The premiere is expected to take place in late 2025 or early 2026. It should be interesting to see how Sweeney performs. Let me know what you think below [email protected].
