Sydney Sweeney has never been more independent.

The 27-year-old “Anyone but You” actress debunked the “preconceived notion” that her 40-year-old fiancé Jonathan Davino pays for everything in their relationship because he is 13 years older.

“I’m a very successful, independent woman who has worked really hard,” Sweeney said in an interview with Glamor published Thursday.

Not only did the Euphoria star explain that she pays her own bills, but Sweeney also emphasized that she is the breadwinner for her family.

“I did and bought everything myself and take care of myself and my family,” she said.

Davino’s bride-to-be even noted that her boyfriend of six years is “not a donor” to her production company, Fifty-Fifty Films.

Sweeney, who has been dating Davino since 2018, said she wanted to “set the record straight” regarding her romance and career as an actress and producer.

“You can have a healthy relationship with someone and also be very successful without needing the man,” said the Laneige brand ambassador.

“We are teammates. We’re in this together. And we want each other to succeed.”

Sweeney went on to say she is proud of her professional and financial achievements, which have allowed her to pay off her mother’s mortgage, fly her grandparents to Italy and buy her uncle his “dream boat.”

Although Sweeney is one of Hollywood’s rising stars, she said she is aware that her success could disappear at any time.

“I come from a family where I saw my parents lose everything and I’m terribly afraid of that. This fear will always be instilled in me. I’m a big saver,” she said.

“I don’t just go and spend money. I like investing. I like real estate. I like to hopefully make smart decisions with the money I make. But I don’t think I’ll ever really feel comfortable.”

Sweeney and her future husband got engaged in March 2022. She was later spotted wearing a huge diamond ring The Finger.

Despite her serious relationship with Davino, the starlet previously sparked romance rumors with her “Anyone but You” co-star Glen Powell when the two promoted their 2023 romantic comedy.

Powell, 35, addressed the dating rumors in April, admitting: “People want what’s on screen off screen, too, and sometimes you just have to lean in a little – and have it works wonderfully.”
