Supporting women in midlife

MILWAUKEE – Two Wisconsin women are working to raise awareness of fertility and women’s wellness resources and educate on issues that are often not talked about, such as perimenopause.

  • “Periodical,” a documentary that explores the science, politics and culture surrounding the menstrual cycle, will be screened on August 21
  • The screening will take place on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Next Act Theater in Milwaukee.
  • Proceeds support Milwaukee’s Diaper Mission Period Program


Theresa Kopac and Rebecca Jankowski are the founders of Interwovxn. They said their mission was to provide a platform for women during their middle years.

One way to do this is to host a screening of Periodical, a documentary film that explores the scientific, political and cultural aspects of the menstrual cycle.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Diaper Mission in Milwaukee’s period program for menstruating women in need.

The documentary screening will take place on Wednesday, August 21, at the Next Act Theater, 255 S. Water Street. Doors open at 6 p.m. The film will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. There will be a panel discussion following the screening. If you would like to learn more about Interwovxn,, Click here.
