The NSE Nifty50 index was up 165.2 points at 24,988.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 557.32 points to 81,643.53 (as of around 11:25 am).

(up 1.28%), NTPC Ltd. (up 1.25%), Tata Motors Ltd. (up 1.19%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (up 1.17%) and HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 1.15%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (down 0.76%), Adani Enterprises Ltd. (down 0.58%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 0.56%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.46%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (minus 0.4%), Eicher Motors Ltd. (minus 0.39%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 0.35%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.
