Stevie Nicks’ abortion anthem “Lighthouse” hits the charts, but who is the “lighthouse” for the preborn?

Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks debuted her anti-abortion anthem “Lighthouse,” a major disappointment to pro-life Nicks fans across the country. However, this isn’t entirely unexpected for Nicks, as she has spoken publicly about her four abortions in recent years, even attributing it to the success of Fleetwood Mac.

Although Nicks appears to be “empowered” and doesn’t seem to regret her decision, statistics show that many women regret their abortion. And while Nicks’ recent pro-abortion song and years of pro-abortion rhetoric may be an attempt to overcompensate for her guilt, the problem remains that she is misleading women and being wrong by a “landslide.”

The song’s themes consist of several ideas: Abortion is power, and all women must unite to protect it so they are not silenced. And Nicks, as the song’s title suggests, is the beacon for these women to gather, protest and fight.

“I want to teach them how to fight,” she sings. “I want to tell them this has happened before, don’t let it happen again.”

What is unsurprisingly missing from this fight song is the silence and powerlessness of the children in the womb. Does Nicks care if they have a lighthouse?

Based on Nicks’ Instagram comment on according to Roe v. calf Song, one would think, not.

“I wrote this song a few months later Roe v. Wade was knocked over,” Nicks wrote. “It seemed like overnight people said, ‘What can we do about this as a collective force…’ For me, it was about writing a song.”

If you take the text at face value, you can see that the words refer to preborn children rather than women. Take a look:

“Don’t let them take away your power,

Don’t leave him alone in the last few hours

They will take your soul, they will take your strength

Unless you stand up and take it back

Try to see the future and get angry

It slips through your fingers, you don’t have what you had

You don’t have much time to get it back.”

Abortion advocates and politicians are taking power away from the preborn.

In an unborn child’s final hours, he or she will suffer a horrific starvation death from chemical abortion pills or dismemberment from surgical abortion. The abortionist will have stolen her soul.

Unless the pro-life movement steps up and gives innocent, preborn people back their dignity and power. We want a future where abortion is unthinkable and we will fight every day to make that happen. After all, we can’t get this time back.

That’s what Nick’s lyrics should have said. Although Nicks believes her career has been better because of the abortions she has had, Fleetwood Mac’s pro-life fans would rather have pro-life instead of her biggest hits. Now it is Pro-life generation will be the beacon for the preborn and continue to speak for the voiceless.

We hope Nicks will do the same.
