“Cam Ward is so good,” Spurrier said. “He’s in the running for the Heisman Trophy now. He’s in the running for the Heisman Trophy and could win it. Because their schedule isn’t too terrible. They’re favorites.”

Ward threw for 385 yards and three touchdowns against Florida, completing 26 of 35 passes. Yes, there was one interception, but at times the game looked easy for Ward. Miami’s offense had the Gators under control at times, sending a clear message.

ACC play begins on September 27 against Virginia Tech, another game played at Hard Rock Stadium. State of Florida Rivalry is probably the toughest game out there, as always. The trip to Georgia Tech Institute And Louisville is also nothing that one has to overlook.

If Ward can get through these three games, he will surely have a Heisman moment. A team’s success also plays a big role in winning college football’s most prestigious trophy.
