Steph overtakes Barkley to move into 30th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list

Steph passes Barkley to finish at No. 30 on NBA’s all-time scoring list originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area

Steph Curry passed a Hall of Famer on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

Curry scored his 23,747 in the third quarter of the Warriors’ game against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. point, overtaking basketball legend Charles Barkley for 30th place on the NBA’s all-time goalscoring list.

The milestone is all the more intriguing given that Barkley has long been critical of Golden State during Curry’s tenure with the team.

While Curry already had the lead of four NBA championships to Barkley’s zero, the Warriors superstar now also has an individual lead over his long-time critic.

Sacramento Kings forward DeMar DeRozan started the day just ahead of Barkley and finished in 29th place with 23,760 points. DeRozan and the Kings face the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night, meaning any possible passing move from Curry at No. 29 could be short-lived.

Wednesday’s career milestone is another fond memory for Curry of Boston, which also secured a championship win and Finals MVP at TD Garden.
