Start of road marking work on the streets of Casper

On Monday, August 26, the city’s road and traffic workers will begin marking the streets.

“We’ll start with Walsh Drive, Country Club Road and Beverly Street and then move through the rest of the east side and into downtown Casper,” explained Street and Traffic Manager Shad Rodgers.

The paint truck is followed by a truck with display boards to alert the public to wet paint and give it some time to dry.

“Please watch for the teams and slow down,” Rodgers said. “We ask that motorists give the paint and poster truck as much space as possible or take an alternative route to avoid a paint accident, such as having their vehicle sprayed with paint from the paint overhead.”

The stripes on the east side are expected to last for about two weeks.

10 of the most dangerous animals in Wyoming

Wyoming is home to some pretty epic creatures. The pronghorn antelope is the second fastest land animal in the world after the cheetah – and it’s worth noting that while the cheetah can jump faster, the pronghorn antelope can maintain its top speed for much longer. And while we have plenty of cute and cuddly creatures (like the northern saw-whet owl), there are also plenty of things that can kill you. You might want to think twice about moving here.
