‘Star Trek’ actor mocks Trump’s garbage truck stunt with brutal line

With less than a week to go before the US presidential election, both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are pulling out all the stops to win over voters, with the latter resorting to showing up in a garbage truck.

Trump stepped off his private plane in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Wednesday evening and boarded a garbage truck wearing a bright orange safety vest to troll Joe Biden and Harris.

Just days after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe sparked controversy over his comments about Puerto Rico at Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden, the former president once again tried to show he was in touch with the common man by working a regular job.

Speaking to members of the press at the photo op, Trump said, “How do you like my garbage truck?” He added that it was “in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden,” adding that the president “should be ashamed of himself.”

Trump was referring to a claim that Biden called his supporters “trash,” but the president has denied that.

Images and clips of Trump’s stunt soon went viral on social media, with many pointing out that putting his name on a garbage truck isn’t the best look.

One of the strongest discounts was to be expected earlier Star Trek Actor George Takei who played Lt Hikaru Sulu in numerous TV shows and films since 1966.

Taking a swipe at Trump, the 87-year-old referred to the “dumpster fire” metaphor and wrote on X/Twitter: “To be fair, it’s not really a Trump garbage truck until it burns.”

Takei wasn’t the only one to take shots at Trump for the stunt.

His niece Mary, who is an outspoken critic of her uncle, wrote: “Hmm, interesting decision to put the trash in the front of the truck.”

Former Trump adviser Alyssa Farah Griffin explained in a post on no. He assumes voters hear “garbage” and think of Biden’s blunders. But the Trump campaign’s debacle in Puerto Rico lies much deeper in the zeitgeist. A total failure.”

She added: “Trump makes offensive jokes that lead to days of outrage; Trump tries to enlighten Fox; Biden intervenes and inadvertently gives Trump a lifeline; Trump’s genius campaign: ‘Let’s remind everyone that we insulted Puerto Ricans and called America trash by driving a garbage truck!’”

Harris spokeswoman Sarafina Chitika wrote: “The candidate who called America a ‘trash can;’ Whose rally called Puerto Rico “trash”; Rides around in a garbage truck for fun. Is this an in-kind donation to @KamalaHQ?”

The election ends on Tuesday (November 5th). Polls show that Trump and Harris are virtually tied in the race for the White House.
