The Georgia Department of Transportation continues to conduct critical roadworks throughout southeast Georgia, so work on construction and maintenance projects will continue Saturday, August 17 through Friday, August 23.

Weekly notice of traffic disruptions

SOUTHEAST GA – The Georgia Department of Transportation continues to conduct critical roadworks throughout southeast Georgia, so work on construction and maintenance projects will continue Saturday, August 17 through Friday, August 23.


All work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, pay attention and watch for workers when driving through construction sites.


Traffic disruptions are listed below by highway, category and county.



Interstate 95



I-95 at the Florida border, Camden County
Rehabilitation of the St. Marys River Bridge
Nighttime road closures in GA and FL
Sat., 17 Aug. – Fri., 23 Aug.
Traffic light lane closed – 21:00 to 06:00
Double lane closure – 10pm to 5am

  • Burnsed Boulevard will be narrowed to two lanes from Highway 80 to the intersection with SR 25. Traffic will be shifted to the southbound lanes, which will then have one lane in each direction.

  • SR 25 North closed to through traffic from Bay Street. Only trucks need access to Foundation Drive.
