Sky: Pulisic is out against Napoli due to flu

When it rains, it seems to be pouring heavily for AC Milan, as there’s another name on the absentee list for tonight’s game against Napoli: Christian Pulisic.

The situation is far from ideal for Fonseca when it comes to choosing his team for the game against Napoli, as he is struggling with many important absences.

It was known that both Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders would not make the trip to the Stadio Renato dall’Ara for the game against Bologna as both were suspended. However, the postponement of this game means they are suspended against Napoli instead.

In addition to these two absences, Matteo Gabbia has suffered a calf injury which will see him miss at least the next few games. Alessandro Florenzi, Ismael Bennacer and Marco Sportiello remain out after surgery, while Luka Jovic (back) and Tammy Abraham (shoulder) are also injured.

As if Milan weren’t already thin enough, Sky (via MilanNews) and La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Christian Pulisic is suffering from flu and will therefore not start the game against Antonio Conte’s team.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek will take the American’s place and Yunus Musah will support Youssouf Fofana as an attacking midfielder. Pulisic has been involved in at least one goal in each of his last seven league games (five goals and three assists), so it’s a big mistake.
