Sixers show footage of several players working in the offseason

Earlier this week, the Philadelphia 76ers announced their plans for 2024 training camp.

The team will once again travel to the Bahamas to compete. Training camp is just over a month away and players are training everywhere.

Some have spent time at the Sixers’ training facility in Camden, New Jersey.

The 76ers’ social media team recently released some footage from this summer, showing a little taste of the work that some Sixers – new and returning – have been doing.

Andre Drummond returns to the 76ers after a nearly three-year absence. In the 2021-2022 season, Drummond was looking forward to playing the role of Joel Embiid’s backup. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete that role.

At the 2022 trade deadline, Drummond was traded to the Brooklyn Nets as part of the blockbuster deal that included Ben Simmons and James Harden. After 24 games with the Nets, Drummond signed a two-year contract with the Chicago Bulls. He left Chicago as a free agent and went to Philadelphia. The big man is looking forward to a second term with the Sixers.

The Philadelphia 76ers on SI The show is available on the streaming platforms Spotify, Apple and Amazon.

It was no surprise that Tyrese Maxey graced the practice facility with his presence. Although Maxey has been on the road a lot this summer, he recently made a stop in Camden. The former All-Star signed a new contract in the offseason and is looking forward to spending his fifth season with the Sixers.

Rookie Jared McCain is also getting to know his new home. After spending one season at Duke, McCain joins the 76ers as a top pick in 2024. With McCain hoping to compete for minutes in his first year, the rookie has a lot of work to do to prove to 76ers head coach Nick Nurse that he belongs in the rotation. Working out at the facility is a great way to get noticed this summer.
