She was asked to postpone her wedding date after her best friend was diagnosed with a serious illness as her treatment plan would prevent her from attending the wedding

This 23-year-old woman is engaged and she and her fiancé have been planning their wedding for over a year. Now all the preparations are finally complete and in about two months they will officially get married.

But her best friend, also 23 years old, was recently diagnosed with a serious illness that requires immediate and ongoing treatment.

“She was a big part of my life and I understand that this is a huge ordeal for her,” she said.

However, her friend eventually asked her if she could change the wedding date to fit her treatment plan, and she did not agree.

Her friend was desperate to attend her wedding and claimed it would mean the world to her if she could simply change her wedding date.

However, in her opinion, it would be very complicated and expensive to postpone her big day to a completely different date.

“I would have to re-plan everything and many of our guests have already made travel arrangements,” she explained.

Therefore, she has done her best to support her friend in every other way – apart from postponing her wedding date. She has visited her friend often, checking in on her health condition and even offered to help with the logistics of her treatment.

“But my friend insists that my wedding date is the only thing standing in the way of her treatment,” she explained.
