Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song” reached No. 1 for 13 weeks

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has topped the Hot 100 Songs chart for 13 weeks now and is by far the longest-running No. 1 single of the year. “A Bar Song” has more than twice the weight of Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help,” or is the second-longest-running single of the year with a total of six weeks.

“A Bar Song,” a country and pop radio hit, garnered 76 million total radio airplay viewership views in the most recent week of tracking, according to data from Luminate. The song’s breakthrough success makes the Virginia-born singer and rapper a promising candidate for a Grammy nomination at the 2025 ceremony. Chris Willman, diversityShaboozey, the chief music critic at , is a likely nominee in the Best New Artist and Best Record of the Year categories.

Sabrina Carpenter also appears as a leading candidate on the same coveted lists. Carpenter, currently wrapping up her first headlining arena tour, has six consecutive weeks of three simultaneous Hot 100 top 10 singles to her name: “Espresso,” the catalyst for her breakout year, is at No. 5; “Taste” is at number 9 and “Please Please Please” rounds out the top at number 10. She is the first artist to score six weeks on the charts with at least three simultaneous Top 10 placements (placing her in the Placement category). Company from Drake, Cardi B and Justin Bieber, among others, according to Billboard).

Meanwhile, Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet” climbs to the top of the Billboard 200 chart for the fourth week in a row, landing at No. 1. After debuting in late August, “Short n’ Sweet” stayed off the top spot for just two weeks distant, as Travis Scott’s “Days Before Rodeo” climbed to the top and for Future’s debut “Mixtape Pluto” (last week).

Also returning to the top of the album charts is Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft” at No. 5. Chappell Roan’s “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” occupies a permanent spot at No. 2 for the fourth year in a row. “Mixtape Future’s “Pluto” is now at No. 3, followed by Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” at No. 4.

Post Malone’s “F-1 Billion” moves to No. 6; Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” is at No. 7; Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season” is at No. 8; Zach Bryan’s “The Great American Bar Scene” is at No. 9; and Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” is at No. 10.

Outside the top 10, Lady Gaga’s Joker album Harlequin lands at number 20 on the list. The soundtrack album was released in support of Joker :Folie et Deux, which stars Gaga alongside Joaquin Phoenix. The Grammy-winning singer is also expected to release the first single from her upcoming seventh studio album this month.
