Before its premiere at the Venice Film Festival Wolves gets a sequel.

Jon Watts has a deal with Apple to write and direct a sequel to his film, which stars Brad Pitt and George Clooney as fixers who accidentally get the same job. It’s unclear if deals are in place for Clooney and Pity to return.

As part of the sequel news, Apple announced that the film would be released on Apple TV+ on September 27, after having already been released in limited theaters via Sony on September 20. Previously, a wide release was expected.

WolvesProduced by Clooney’s Smokehouse and Pitt’s Plan B, the film also stars Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, Poorna Jagannathan, Richard Kind and Zlatko Burić. Watts, McGunigle produce alongside Clooney, Grant Heslov, Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner. Michael Beugg is executive produced.

Pitt will appear in another Apple title, formula 1by director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Other current and upcoming Apple titles include the film “Matt Damon” with Doug Liman in the lead role The instigatorswhich was recently released in cinemas, and the World War II drama directed by Steve McQueen lightning.

Watts is best known as the director of the recent Spider-Man Trilogy for Sony, with the last film, No way homebreaking all box office records on its way to a worldwide box office success of $1.9 billion.
