New York Comic Con’s Star Trek Universe panel is just wrapping up, ending with news and a brand new poster for Star Trek: Section 31 Stream movie.

Three months until S31

Paramount+ announced today Star Trek: Section 31 will premiere Friday, January 24, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and international markets where the service is available. The release date was announced during the Section 31 portion of the Star Trek panel at NYCC, which featured a conversation with cast members Omari Hardwick, Kacey Rohl and Robert Kazinsky, as well as executive producer and director Olatunde Osunsanmi. The panel also included a video appearance by the film’s lead actress, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh.

In the film, Yeoh repeats it Star Trek: Discovery Role as Empress Philippa Georgiou, who joins Section 31, a secret branch of Starfleet. The brief synopsis states: “As she is tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she must also confront the sins of her past.

Section 31 Also starring are Omari Hardwick (Power), Kacey Rohl (Hannibal), Emmy® winner Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso), Sven Ruygrok (One Piece), Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia) and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry). Miku Martineau (Kate) portrays the young Philippa Georgiou.

New teaser graphics for Section 31 were also revealed during the panel.
