The biggest shock of all came in Nashville, where unbeaten top team Alabama fell 40-35 to Vanderbilt, which dominated time of possession 42:08 while Alabama dominated time of possession 17:52. The Crimson Tide never led in the game, which was Vanderbilt’s first win over an AP No. 1 team in 61 tries.

Elsewhere in the state, Josh Heupel and the Vols had arguably their worst offensive performance of the season as Arkansas defeated No. 4 Tennessee 19-14, handing the team its first loss of the season. Not to mention No. 9 Missouri became the first team to fall from the undefeated ranks after being dominated by No. 21 Texas A&M 41-10 in College Station.
