WAILUKU– Maui Marketplace is pleased to announce the opening of Seafood City Supermarket on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 9 a.m.

This popular Filipino supermarket chain makes its grand debut at Maui Marketplace with a 35,000-square-foot full-service market, complete with an authentic Filipino specialty bakery and Filipino grill/restaurant.

Seafood City Supermarket is known for its high-quality, authentic Filipino specialties at unbeatable prices. Founded with a deep understanding of the immigrant experience, Seafood City aims to fill a major gap in the lives of the Filipino community. Since opening its first store in National City, California in 1989, the chain has expanded its presence beyond California to Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, Washington State and Texas, gaining a loyal following of Filipino foodies across the country.

Customers will find an extensive selection of fresh fish and seafood, as well as rare fruits and vegetables, premium meat products, delicious baked goods and a wide range of home and kitchen items. The store also has a dedicated health and beauty department and a large terrace for celebrations, birthdays, events and more.

On grand opening day, Seafood City is also offering the first 100 customers a 15-pound bag of Calrose rice for $1 and the next 100 customers will receive a free BBQ pork or chicken from Grill City.
