In his new TatlerIn a cover interview, the actor spoke about his wedding to Henrique, a Brazilian accountant, earlier this summer. Everett, 65, told the British magazine that he had been dating his new husband for a while, although the Golden Globe nominee wasn’t always sure he wanted to get married.

“I’ve always hated weddings, although I love funerals. But as you get older… I’ve seen so many problems that gay couples face, so it’s really more about thinking ahead, as we’ve been together for a long time now,” said the My best friend’s wedding Star told the outlet.

He added: “And I don’t know how long I can last. Well, I’m tall and I’ve never seen a 95-year-old person who’s 6’5″. You just never know what’s going to happen.”

Everett has previously spoken openly about his intention to marry.
