As I mentioned on the schedule page, the content schedule is subject to change this weekend. Since the hurricane hit my area on Wednesday/Thursday, I’m hoping to have power and internet by Saturday. I’ll do my best to keep everyone updated on Discord.

This weekend we head to the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course for the Drive for the Cure 250. The race takes place on Saturday at 4:00 pm ET on the CW. This is the final race of the Round of 12. Justin Allgaier -7, Shane Van Gisbergen -10, Sam Mayer -13 and Parker Kligerman -16 are the four drivers below the cut line. All four of these drivers have the potential to win at the ROVAL. Jesse Love +22, Riley Herbst +20 and AJ Allmendinger +7 are the three drivers under +30. This should be an exciting race and I think the playoff drivers will focus on stage points. With the changes to the ROVALOn Saturday morning, the teams complete a 50-minute training session. Practice begins at 10:00 a.m. ET, with qualifying following at 11:00 a.m. ET. Forecasts should be released by 1:00 p.m. ET. I will use the current version ROVAL Data, 2024 road course data, current speed, training and a few other things as we build the lineups this weekend.

The stages are 20, 20 and 27, for a total of 67 laps. With 67 laps, we expect 30.15 potential points for the fastest lap and 16.75 points for the fastest lap. We usually see a lap leader at the optimum, but I don’t form a dominant group. On road courses I had more success getting into a top 10 group. In the last four optimal lineups here, no more than two riders started at the top.
