Taco Bell revives the past with the limited return of five of the most sought-after nostalgic menu items from the first five decades. Available today are the 60s Tostada, 70s Green Sauce Burrito, 80s Meximelt and 90s Gordita Supreme. On November 21st, the ’00s Caramel Apple Empanada will be on the menu. Each item costs less than $3. The ’60s tostada is an original dish, one of six on the menu in 1962 at Taco Bell’s first location in Southern California.

As Umami Café & Catering continues to shift its focus to catering, with cafe opening hours shortened to Saturday from 10am to 2pm with a limited menu. The grab-and-go refrigerator will continue to serve the cafe at Signature Flight Support at 3501 N. Aviation Ave. be available north of the airport terminal. Family dinners are also returning as the weather gets cooler. They can be picked up on Fridays and Saturdays. Orders must be placed by 5 p.m. on Thursdays. This week’s offerings were goulash, chicken pot pie and langostino lobster mac and cheese. They typically cost $30 to $35 and serve four to six people. The menu and ordering information can be found on Umami’s Facebook page each week.

Rudy M. Navarrete’s Texas-Mexican Catering is hosting its seventh annual shoe drive for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire. Navarrete will serve him Taco Bus menu at the first event and a $10 taco bar at the other locations. Proceeds and additional donations will be used to purchase new sneakers. Here are the dates: Saturday at The Blind Butcher Brewing Co. near Inwood, Iowa; November 9th at Windy City Bites; November 16th at Severance Brewing Co.; Nov. 22 at the VFW in Brandon; and Nov. 23 at the Masonic Center, 520 S. First Ave. Opening hours: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Since the fundraising campaign began, more than 1,000 pairs of branded shoes have been donated.

The rush has made some changes to its weekly special menu. New offerings include meatloaf on Wednesday and a turkey dinner on Friday. Sloppy Joes on Tuesdays are a returning favorite.

Glacial Lakes Distillery & Brewhouse is hosting Dungeons & Dragons games every other Sunday starting this weekend. Sessions begin at 5:00 p.m. New players and seasoned veterans are welcome. Enjoy craft beer and specialty drinks while you play.

We haven’t been able to tell you anything about the winning designs yet Oh my cupcakes We’ll release the annual Halloween contest in time for purchase, but we still wanted to give a shout out to the winners. These sweet pumpkin and mummy cupcakes were designed by Kensi and Everly, who each received a dozen cupcakes with their winning look.

Changes in opening times, service

  • Falls Landing Bar & Grill at Country Inn & Suites Downtown is temporarily closed due to a change in management, according to a note on the restaurant’s door and on Facebook. The operator who rents out the space closed the restaurant on Monday.
  • Severance Brewing Co.’s Winter opening hours start on Friday: Tuesday to Thursday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • The Taco Vault in Worthing has updated its opening hours since opening on October 15th. It is open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Now that the season is over for them Falls Park Farmers Market, Songbird Kombucha is open again on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
