Report: Selena Gomez becomes a billionaire through various business ventures

The 32-year-old singer, actress and businesswoman has surpassed billionaire status, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index: As the news agency reports, she has a fortune of $1.3 billion – making her one of the youngest female self-made billionaires in the United States.

Gomez’s wealth reportedly comes from her various business ventures. According to the outlet, over 81% of her money is invested in her cosmetics brand, Rare Beauty.

Other major sources of income, according to the outlet, include – from most to least important – endorsements, tours, her mental health startup Wondermind, albums, acting, streaming and real estate.

Since she first appeared on many fans’ television when she was a child on Barney & FriendsGomez has appeared in various shows, including Wizards of Waverly Place And Only murders in the buildingShe has also acted in films such as spring breakers, Hotel Transylvania and the upcoming Emilia Perez.

As a musician, she has three No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and several top 5 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, such as “Good for You” with A$AP Rocky, “Same Old Love”, “Lose You to Love Me” and “Calm Down” with Rema.

“I never wanted it to be just about making a lot of money and that’s it,” the “My Mind & Me” singer added.

Beginning of the year Forbes reported that Gomez’s friend Taylor Swift has reached billionaire status thanks to her ongoing Eras Tour, extensive song catalog and real estate portfolio.

At the time, the outlet said Swift was the only musician to earn the award solely through her music and live performances, as the Eras Tour’s revenue had surpassed $1 billion since it launched in March 2023.
