The desi girl is back in town! On Friday (August 23), Priyanka Chopra paid a surprise visit to India, this time for the wedding reception of her brother Siddharth Chopra and his fiancée Neelam Upadhyaya.

Hours after her arrest at the airport, the actress left the building late on Friday to attend her brother’s wedding reception.

The Citadel actress was dressed to the nines and looked stunning in her modern yet traditional avatar. In a video shared by a paparazzo, the actress was seen arriving at the venue in a magenta sari with intricate shimmering embroidery. Apart from the sari, it was her thin-strap blouse that grabbed all the attention and added some much-needed drama to her look.

She accessorized her look with a pearl choker and necklace with matching earrings. Her hair was tied in a high bun with some curls falling on her fans. She wore bold makeup with kohl eyes and matching red lipstick.

In April, Priyanka attended her brother Siddharth and Neelam’s Roka ceremony with her husband Nick Jonas and daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.

Earlier in the day, the paparazzi outside the airport were surprised to see Priyanka there. In a clip, the actress was seen smiling and waving as she stepped out of the Mumbai airport. She wore casual attire, a floral jacket and matching pants with a crop top.

Many fans speculated that she is in the country because of her upcoming Bollywood project Jee Le Zaraa. The film, directed by Farhan Akhtar, sees Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt acting together for the first time. However, it has now been said that she is in the country for her brother’s wedding ceremony.

Professionally, Chopra recently finished filming The Bluff in Australia. Directed by Frank E Flowers, the film also stars actor Karl Urban. Another project in the pipeline is Heads of State alongside actors John Cena, Idris Elba and Jack Quaid.
