Prince Harry reveals that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet inherited important traits from Meghan Markle

Prince Harry has revealed a heartwarming detail about his children’s hair, revealing that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet inherited their mother’s luscious locks.

Speaking at the WellChild Awards in London, the Duke of Sussex said his children were “blessed with their mother’s thick hair”.

The proud father continued to tell Hello! that “it won’t be long before Lili can sit on hers”.

Harry’s comments highlight the strong physical resemblance between his children and their mother Meghan.

This isn’t the first time Prince Harry has spoken about his children’s hair.

In a previous interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he talked about the strong “Spencer gene” in relation to his mother Princess Diana’s family.

Harry had initially thought, “There’s no way the ginger gene will stand up to my wife’s genes,” but was pleasantly surprised.

The Duke’s red hair is a feature shared by all three of Princess Diana’s siblings – Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Lady Jane Fellowes and Earl Charles Spencer.

This genetic inheritance appears to be a source of pride for Harry, as it connects his children to their royal heritage while honoring the unique mix of traits from both parents.

At the WellChild Awards, Prince Harry reflected on the challenges of parenthood and expressed his admiration for the caregivers honored at the event.

“As a parent, I know a little about the emotional roller coaster of parenthood,” he said in his speech.

“But when I hear about the care that many of you mothers, fathers and family members provide… I am truly impressed.”

The Duke has maintained patronage of WellChild since 2007, one of the few he retained after stepping down from royal duties in 2020.

His commitment to the organization has deepened since he became a father himself: Prince Archie was born in May 2019 and Princess Lilibet in June 2021.

The annual awards honor the courage of seriously ill children and the commitment of their carers.

Hello! reported that Prince Harry was “enjoying being 40 and friends had told him it was the best decade, so he had high hopes for it.”
