Everton have lost just three of their last 20 Premier League home games against Newcastle (W12 D5), although two of those defeats have come in the last four such meetings (W2).

Newcastle have won five of their last eight Premier League meetings with Everton (D1 L2), as many as in the previous 24 against Everton (D6 L13). However, they failed to win either of their two meetings with the Toffees last season (D1 L1).

Only Aston Villa and Manchester City (7) have picked up more points from losing places in the Premier League than Newcastle (5) this season – the Magpies have only lost two of their last seven games while conceding their first goal (W2 D3) , so lost 11 of the last 13 games with a 0-1 deficit.

Everton’s Ashley Young has assisted a goal in each of his last two Premier League appearances, as many assists as he has in his previous 117 games combined. At 39, Young is the oldest player in Premier League history to assist a goal in consecutive games.

Anthony Gordon was involved in 13 goals in 23 Premier League appearances for Newcastle United in 2024 (7 goals, 6 assists). He is yet to score or assist against his former club Everton and has scored one goal in his last 15 games at Goodison Park.
