Premier League LIVE: Crystal Palace vs Liverpool and seven other games – score, radio and text updates

  • Crystal Palace have lost 11 of their last 14 Premier League meetings against Liverpool (W1 D2), although their only win came in the last such meeting at Anfield in April.

  • Liverpool’s last four Premier League defeats against Crystal Palace have come at Anfield – they are unbeaten in their last nine games at Selhurst Park since a 3-1 defeat in November 2014 (W8 D1).

  • Crystal Palace have conceded more goals against Liverpool in the Premier League than against any other opponent, both overall (69) and at home (38). In fact, the Reds are responsible for the Eagles’ two heaviest home defeats in the history of the competition (6-1 in August 1994, 7-0 in December 2020).

  • In the 30 previous Premier League games between Crystal Palace and Liverpool, 14 were won by the away team (47%). This is the highest away win rate of all 109 games played more than 30 times in the history of the competition.

  • This is the fifth time in the Premier League that Crystal Palace have faced Liverpool, with the Reds at the top of the table – the Eagles have lost each of the previous four games by an aggregate score of 17-4, including a 0-7 Home defeat in the Premier League most recent encounter of this kind (December 2020).

  • Crystal Palace have remained winless in their six Premier League games so far this season (D3 L3). Only in 1992-93 (8), 1994-95 (7), 2004-05 (7) and 2017-18 (7) did they go longer without a win since the start of a top season and rose from the end of the top three.

  • Liverpool have won all three away games in the Premier League this season – only in 1990-91 and 2019-20 have they ever won their first four away games in a league season.

  • Liverpool’s Arne Slot is aiming to become only the fourth manager in Premier League history to win each of his first four away games in the competition, following Felipe Scolari (first eight), John Gregory (5) and Bobby Gould (4).

  • Jean-Philippe Mateta has scored 15 goals in his last 11 home games for Crystal Palace in all competitions and has scored multiple goals in five of those 11 appearances (4 braces, 1 hat-trick).

  • Mohamed Salah has scored in all three of Liverpool’s Premier League away games so far this season. To date, a player has scored nine times in his team’s first four away games in a single season – the Egyptian could become the first player to do so twice (including in the 2021/22 season).
