Predictions on how to watch “TNF.”

play

The New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos will meet briefly at the start of Week 7 on “Thursday Night Football.”

Both teams are coming off divisional defeats and are eager to get back on the winning list. The Saints (2-4) are coming off another tough loss, this time against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints allowed 51 points to the Buccaneers, and Spencer Rattler started for the first time in his NFL career in place of the injured Derek Carr.

The Saints’ rookie quarterback has his hands full against a Broncos defense that ranks fourth in yards allowed per game. However, Denver will be without star cornerback Patrick Surtain II, who suffered a concussion on the first defensive tackle in Denver’s Week 6 loss. New Orleans has lost four straight after opening the season with two stunning victories.

Denver’s offense was incompatible with that of rookie quarterback Bo Nix. In three of the six meetings this season they remained goalless in the first half. Head coach Sean Payton will be on the opposing sideline against the Saints for the first time after coaching New Orleans for 15 seasons.
