Predictions for Shohei Ohtani, Salvador Perez on Tuesday

We’re shaking things up today, with a game that has slightly better odds and a relatively straightforward game behind it. First up is a look at the Los Angeles Dodgers and Shohei Ohtani on his way to making history.

Second goes back to the Kansas City Royals, but for tonight’s game we move down a few spots in the lineup to Salvador Perez.

It was a split yesterday to open the week, but we were still able to make some gains thanks to our win. We needed Bobby Witt Jr. to get three total bases for us, and he hit a grand slam in his second at-bat to easily surpass that mark. In Christian Walker’s world, it looked like we weren’t going to have any problems at all early in the game.

The Arizona Diamondbacks’ first two batters hit a triple and a home run, and then the team was unable to get anything done the rest of the game. Although they outscored the Colorado Rockies by eight hits, they failed to score a single run in the remaining nine innings after hitting their first two batters of the game.

Shohei Ohtani O0.5 stolen bases (+215) Bet365

In recent years, Shohei seems to achieve something historic at least once per season. A few weeks ago, he was the first player 45 home runs and steal 45 bases in a single season. He is now just three home runs and two stolen bases away from his first 50-and-50 season. He has 48 stolen bases this season, and he was caught stealing only four times. Of those 48 steals, two them came in three games against the Miami Marlins.

The Marlins send right-hander Darren McCaughan to the mound to start the series tonight. In six Innings with the Marlins, he allowed two stolen bases, and this year he has allowed five in just 29.1 innings. He has been hit hard by left- and right-handed hitters this year, so Shohei should have no trouble getting on base. In addition, the catcher for tonight is expected to be Nick Fortes, who allowed There have been 86 stolen bases this year and I’m rooting for Ohtani’s chances in pursuit of history.

Salvador Perez O0.5 RBIs (+115) FanDuel

Lately, it’s been a bit hit and miss when it comes to RBI props, but I think we’re in a great position with Perez today against the Detroit Tigers. Perez is Carry a solid .318 average last week and is the team’s second-leading RBI player this year, trailing only Witt with 102. Although Perez has preferred hitting against left-handers this season, he has made some exceptions in the past for today’s matchup.

The Tigers are sending right-hander Casey Mize to bat for today’s contest. In 24 batting appearances against Mize, Perez hit 11 for 23 with three extra-base hits. As a team, the Royals hit .439, and if you leave out Perez, they still have an average over .400 at .419. Mize was hit hard by right-handed hitters this season. Right-handed hitters are hitting .314 with an OPS of .818 against him, while he is holding left-handed hitters to .259 and .712. With the best hitters batting in front of Perez, I think he can beat at least one of them in this matchup.
