A former publicist tells us what it’s REALLY like to work with him Justin Baldoni… and she only has good things to say! You can hear that, Blake Lively?!

Amid the ongoing and increasingly controversial It ends With us Brouhaha, a former PR agent named Alegra Kastens increased TikTok on Friday to reveal her past with Baldoni. It wasn’t an attack or anything. Quite the opposite! In fact, it was a blistering critique of Justin as a person and as a professional. Seriously, she’s REALLY on his side!

Kastens began her 99-second video with the words:

“I was Justin Baldoni’s press secretary when he launched his app Belly button. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to say something on TikTok or not, but after seeing how the promotion for this film was handled, I wanted to say something and talk about my experience working with him.”

And then she continued:

“I met some terrible men as a PR agent in Hollywood, and Justin was not one of them. He was kind, he was respectful, and he really cared about his impact on the world. At the time when I was a PR agent, I was working at a small PR firm. We pitched him his idea, and he set up a meeting with us. He chose us – the small PR firm – over some big firm because he believed in our connection to the cause and to his work.”

She then linked her previous experiences with Justin to the way he IEWU lately:

“He lived and breathed advocacy. He cared about the issues and it was part of everything he did. You can see that in his promotion of It ends with usand how seriously he takes it, which I’m grateful for, because this is not a flowery romantic comedy.”

And she contextualized it in the environment of other Hollywood people:

“I know what you’re thinking: that some of the best people are actually assholes. That they feign virtue and are actually terrible people. But that’s just not what I think of Justin. Even though I haven’t worked for him for years, I can only speak about my experiences with him, and those experiences have always been nothing but beautiful.”

Before I proceed with a harsh criticism of Blake for her promotion of the film:

“He so obviously cares about DV and portrays it accurately. I have to say, I don’t like the way Blake promoted the film. ‘Take your friends and your flowers’? This is not a night at the Taylor Swift Epoch tour“This is a real trauma that many women have suffered and it needs to be treated with care.”
