Police report | Welfare check; reckless arson; drugs at Dollar Tree

25 JULY 2024

During a routine patrol, officers checked a suspicious vehicle without a license plate in Snoqualmie Point Park. When they checked the driver’s identification, he came back with a warrant from the Fife Police Department that required a $5,000 bond. The suspect was booked into SCORE Jail on his warrant.

26 JULY 2024

There was a report of a suicidal person possibly staying near Snoqualmie Falls. The person recently received bad news about their health and the family was concerned due to some text messages.

Officers conducted an extensive search of the area around the waterfall and the suspect’s residence, but were unable to locate him. They also passed the information on to the department’s psychiatrist for follow-up.

26 JULY 2024

There was a report of a male offender walking in the middle of the road in North Bend who looked like he was throwing something at cars and also lit paper on fire and threw it into the bushes.

Officers found the perpetrator, who appeared to be very agitated. After investigation, the perpetrator was arrested and taken to prison for reckless arson and disorderly conduct.

27 JULY 2024

When officers arrived at the Snoqualmie post office, an audible commercial alarm sounded. They found that one of the doors was unlocked and there were no signs of forced entry.

However, loose mail was found on the ground. After reviewing video footage from a nearby residence, it did indeed appear to be a confirmed commercial burglary.

There was a report of a “slumper” behind the wheel of a running vehicle at the Snoqualmie 76 gas station. Officers arrived to find the driver unconscious and with drug paraphernalia around him. Officers woke the driver up and reported their presence. He immediately put the car in gear and sped out of the parking lot, hitting the spike strip. Officers pursued the vehicle for DUI and were able to stop it with a PIT maneuver.

The driver then fled on foot, was caught and taken into custody. The suspect had several warrants out for his arrest, including a warrant for fleeing from DOC. A search warrant was executed for the vehicle, where officers found drugs, including suspected fentanyl and cocaine, as well as a weapon. The suspect was taken to jail.

27 JULY 2024

There was a report of two people using drugs in the bathroom at the Snoqualmie Dollar Tree. Officers made contact but were unable to locate any drug paraphernalia. Both people were issued a no-entry order by the store.

There was a report of an adult female hiding items in her bag with a juvenile at the North Bend Outlet Mall Zumiez. When store employees confronted her about the possible theft, she left the store and got into a vehicle with an unknown license plate before police arrived. Store employees recognized the individual as a previous shoplifter.

28 JULY 2024

A suspicious male was located in a van parked near Main Ave. North. The male driver was inside. The male appeared to be naked but did not expose himself. Officers made contact with the driver, who was observed pulling on pants, but it was unknown if he was completely naked at the time. The witness did not want to fill out a statement form. The suspect was asked to move on.

28 JULY 2024

A man and woman with a history of shoplifting were observed by security entering the Nike store. The individual began filling a trash bag with merchandise. Officers were on scene when the couple exited the door and a suspect fled on foot.

Officers managed to track him down and arrest him. The perpetrator claimed to have swallowed fentanyl and was taken to the hospital. The suspect was cited for theft 3 and released.rd and two counts of obstructing a police officer.

29 JULY 2024

An unknown person smashed the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle at the Mt Si Senior Center. Nothing was stolen, but the damage was approximately $500.

30 JULY 2024

At some point during the night, an unknown individual removed one of the windows on the north side of Snoqualmie Arbor Eye Care and stole several pairs of designer sunglasses from the display without setting off the alarm. The total retail value of the stolen items was estimated at $16,000. This case remains under investigation.
