The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Mansir Hassanconfirmed the development in a statement released in Kaduna and made available to journalists on Saturday.

He explained that the command’s anti-morals unit had carried out a series of targeted raids in response to the rising crime wave in the state, particularly theft of mobile phones.

“The operation, which was carried out from Tuesday to Friday between 7:00 p.m. and 11:45 p.m., was carried out in strict compliance with the instructions of the Chief of Police. Mr Audu Dabigi.

“The raids focused on known danger spots in the greater Kaduna area and led to the arrest of 35 suspects, including two women.

“Dangerous weapons, marijuana and other illegal drugs were found on the suspects.“, explained the PPRO.

He further stated that the CP had assured the public that those found guilty would be profiled and charged in court.

The statement stressed the command’s determination to combat criminal activities within the state.
