PLEASANTON, Texas – Students at Pleasanton Primary School have been evacuated. Reports say the evacuation was due to a threat. The Pleasant Express reported it was a bomb threat.

Students were evacuated to the Performing Arts Center where parents can pick up their students.

All children are reportedly safe and officials have assisted with the evacuation.

“The elementary school campus was threatened. As a precautionary measure, the decision was made to evacuate the elementary school. Multiple law enforcement agencies are assisting the group and can confirm that no children were injured. Our officers, along with the Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety and police officers, are also monitoring other campuses in the area,” Pleasanton Police posted on their Facebook page.

The rest of Pleasanton ISD school is on hold. A “hold” is a precautionary protocol that instructs students and staff to remain in their current location or area.

Pleasanton is located about 35 miles south of San Antonio.
