Pharrell Williams, who hails from the Atlantis Apartments in Virginia Beach and is, in his opinion, “the mud,” admitted he was shocked to have the opportunity to air his life story with Legos.

At a piece by piece At the screening and Lego activation of “Over The Moon” in Los Angeles on Friday, the artist explained: “This is what the impossible looks and sounds like… I wasn’t interested in my story, just until I realized the funniest and most essential part “Part of it was overcoming my ego.”

The star – known for his hits such as “Happy”, Britney Spears’ “I’m a Slave 4 U” and Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot”, as well as his fashion collaborations with brands such as Louis Vuitton – is the subject of an upcoming coming-of-age film that revolves around the ups and downs he experienced on his path to success.

While fans can expect to see Williams’ life story on screen, the journey will be explored through animated Lego pieces – a choice the artist says reflects him, but also an opportunity to be creative.
