“Greenberg, Prisco is back here. I can hear him arguing with Ira.”

It’s hard to win over a longtime NFL columnist who has very high, demanding standards and isn’t afraid to call out any player, coach, suit, owner or fan who doesn’t meet those standards.

Joe is referring to CBS insider Pete Prisco, who lives in Florida and is no stranger to the One Buc Palace. Of all the national NFL media types, Prisco probably shows up at the One Buc Palace more often to watch practice and talk to the people behind the scenes than anyone else.

In short: Prisco is doing his Bucs homework.

Prisco is really pleased with what he’s seen from the Bucs’ rookie class, and especially the two rookies drafted early and the Bucs’ AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht. That earned Licht and his team a standing ovation from Prisco on social media yesterday.

Joe doesn’t want to bring bad luck to the Bucs, but it’s drafts like Licht’s over the last two years that get a GM a contract extension.

If McMillan, the third-round pick, really develops into “that guy,” it will only make Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Cade Otton even more dangerous.

If McMillan comes through (or if Trey Palmer takes the proverbial next step in his sophomore year), which teams will double-cover?

Joe recently read an opinion piece that said an offense is only as dangerous as its third receiver.
