Performers in the 2024 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Devour, devour.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and with it the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. To celebrate, NBC has announced the headliners, star appearances and new floats that viewers can expect during the 98th edition of the iconic tradition.

Additionally, the 2024 Macy’s Parade roster will be the largest yet with more than 5,000 volunteers, 17 character balloons, 22 floats, 15 heritage and novelty balloons, more than 700 clowns, 11 marching bands, 10 performance groups and some of the largest musical bands stars… everyone comes together to greet Santa Claus and ring in the Christmas season.

Ahead of the celebrations, which will air on NBC on Turkey Day (November 28), Weekly entertainment has rounded up all the famous faces, hosts, floats and more viewers can expect below.

Stars of Today Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will once again co-host the Emmy Awards ceremony.

Celebrity appearances

As always, this year’s Macy’s Parade will feature appearances and appearances from a variety of celebrities, including Bishop Briggs, Kylie Cantrall, Chlöe, Dan + Shay, Dasha, Jimmy Fallon & the Roots, Coco Jones, Walker Hayes, Ariana Madix and Joey McIntyre , Idina Menzel, Natti Natasha, T-Pain, Rachel Platten, Lea Salonga, the temptations, the war and the contract, Alex Warren and Sebastián Yatra.

Competitive dancer Charli D’Amelio and ballet dancers Tiler Peck and Roman Mejia will also perform. Jonathan Bennett, Liza Colón-Zayas, Tom Kenny, Ginna Claire Mason and members of the New York Liberty with Ellie the Elephant will also make special appearances.

Actress Alison Brie, star of the Macy’s Holiday 2024 campaign, will have the honor of cutting the ribbon at the start of the parade.

Of course, the event isn’t just about celebrities. There will also be marching bands from schools across the country, as well as various performance groups, dancers and cheerleaders.

Broadway actors

Every year, performers from some of Broadway’s biggest shows take the stage at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to showcase their talents to the entire country. This year’s official national broadcast includes performances by the Great White Way’s Death suits her, Hell’s KitchenAnd The outsiders, and the legendary Radio City Rockettes.

Floats and balloons

Of course, it wouldn’t be a parade without balloons and floats, and this year promises to be bigger than ever in that regard. Six new character balloons will be released, including Disney’s Minnie Mouse from the Walt Disney Company; Exceptional Noorah and the Elf on the Shelf from Lumistella Company; Gabby from DreamWorks Animation; Goku from Dragon Ball/Toei Animation; Marshall from Nickelodeon and Spin Master; and Spider-Man from Marvel.

In addition to the usual fan favorites, six new floats will also make their Macy’s Parade debut, including Candy Cosmos by Haribo; Dora’s Fantastic Rainforest from Nickelodeon and Paramount; Disney Cruise Line’s Magic Meets the Seas; Pasta Knight from Rao’s Homemade; Netflix’s Masterfeast; and Wondrous World of Wildlife at the Bronx Zoo. New special forces for the 2024 Macy’s Parade include Strikes Again by Go Bowling!; Nickelodeon’s Garriage, a whimsical carriage modeled after SpongeBob’s pet snail; and BBC Studios’ Grannies Car Bluish.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air live on NBC on Thursday, November 28th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET/PT. The parade, which begins on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and ends at the Macy’s Herald Square flagship store, will also be simulcast on Peacock and, in case you miss it, an encore airing at 2 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
