Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love left the final series on Friday due to an injury after suffering a 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The franchise quarterback went down after being tackled by two Eagles defenders. He writhed in pain on the field for several minutes and had to be carried off the field with 6 seconds left.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur was asked twice after the game about Love’s status, to which he replied both times, “I don’t know.”

Recently signed backup quarterback Malik Willis replaced Love for the final play of the game.

Love completed 17 of 34 passes for 260 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the season opener, earning a quarterback rating of 83.0.

After debuting as a starter in 2023, Love signed a new four-year, $220 million contract extension with the Packers in the offseason.

The Packers also have second-year quarterback Sean Clifford on the practice squad.

Findings: Green Bay Packers cannot finish the first week’s game and lose 34:29 to the Philadelphia Eagles in their first game in Brazil
