Orlando Magic-Memphis Grizzlies injury report: Multiple contributors questionable

The Orlando Magic (2-0) will face the Memphis Grizzlies (1-1) on Saturday evening at the FedEx Forum. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET.

Here is the latest information on the status and health of the players participating in the competition, as revealed by the NBA’s injury reports:

Isaac missed the Magic’s win Friday night against the Brooklyn Nets because of a bruised left hip, a decision Orlando coach Jamahl Mosley said was made largely out of precaution. It’s a long season and the Magic want to maintain the health of their defensive specialist off the bench if possible.

Goga Bitadze became the 10th man on the bench in Orlando on Friday night, filling some of Isaac’s minutes alongside Moritz Wagner in the reserves forward line. Mac McClung took off his clothes in his absence but did not play in the game.

Tristan da Silva was a late addition to the injured list due to illness and will miss the game with the Grizzlies. Jonathan Isaac has been downgraded to Out, according to Magic PR.

Jackson Jr. missed Memphis’ game in Houston with a nagging hamstring injury and was unsure if he would start the night’s contest before being demoted to elimination. He has yet to play this season, but is an important part of the Grizzlies’ frontcourt.

Morant was listed as ready to play for the Grizzlies on Friday night in Houston and led Memphis with 24 points in 24 minutes of play. Konchar played 22 minutes on Friday and is a new addition to the injury report.

According to Grizzlies PR, Morant and Jackson Jr. have been upgraded to available. John Konchar was downgraded from doubtful to out in the same report.

Jackson, Kennard, Spencer and Williams Jr. are all in the midst of extended downtime due to injuries sustained in the preseason.
