One person was pronounced dead Saturday morning after a collision with a semi-trailer truck on Freeway 5 near Calgrove.

On Saturday, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) received reports of a two-trailer crash on Freeway 5 near Calgrove at around 6:30 a.m. Emergency responders found one person dead, according to CHP officials.

“One person has been confirmed dead,” CHP officials said.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision and the cause of the accident is unknown.

The identity of the person has not yet been disclosed.
