On election night, the candidates make their final campaign efforts

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) – Tony Vargas and Don Bacon are spending the final day of the campaign either shaking hands with neighbors or going door to door to spread their message to undecided voters.

To the end and trying to find voices wherever they can. 3 News Now reporter Jill Lamkins spent the day with Tony Vargas and Don Bacon as they went door-to-door on the final day of the campaign.

Shaking hands, making phone calls and making a final attempt to get their message out.

On the eve of the election, congressional candidates headed out to meet with our neighbors.

Both seek indecision and swing voters.

“I was ranked as the most effective Republican in the House. I was ranked as the most bipartisan member of Congress. “The only Republican to get a perfect score on bipartisanship, and I need to reinforce that message everywhere I go,” said Don Bacon.

“And I talk about my record of cutting costs, voting for $6 billion in tax cuts and supporting public safety and creating jobs and just asking them what’s important to them,” Tony Vargas said.

Tonight, Bacon is hosting a teletown hall with the goal of bringing 5,000 to 6,000 people there.

And Vargas, who will join the Harris-Walz campaign and Nebraska Democrats at an election night party and phone bank event.
