Ella Frances Watts was born on November 16, 1954, in Scotland County, North Carolina, to the late Beulah H. Butler and the late Vonnie H. Watts. She passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 69. In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by a son, Clyde Junior Walters II; a daughter, Tammy Walters McKinnon; and two brothers, Hubert Watts and Ray Watts.

Frances was educated in the public schools of Scotland County, North Carolina, where she made lifelong friends. Mrs. Watts was employed as a licensed nursing assistant at Home Health Care until her health failed. To everyone she met, Ella was the kindest woman they knew, and to us, her family, she was the strongest woman we knew. She was a ball of energy, full of laughter, support, and love.

Ella leaves behind to cherish her memories a daughter, Diane Walters of Laurinburg, NC; a son, Donny Ray Walters (Lisa) of Knoxville, TN; a bonus son (grandson) Terry Leach of the home; her beloved daughter Brenda Davis; seven grandchildren, Ronald Jacobs, Travis Walters, Shaqueta Graham, Shaniya Campbell, Shanaysia Purvis, Elizabeth Walters and Alexus Walters; three great-grandchildren, Anthony (her Pumpkin) Moss, Cameron Jacobs and Nolan Leach; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Park. Following the funeral service, the family will receive friends at the graveside.
