Alexander Ross Gottlieb, age 36, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on August 3, 2024. He was born on May 18, 1988 in Miami, Florida.

Alex graduated from Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia in 2006 and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance with honors from Valdosta State University. He was a proud veteran of the Marine Corps, serving with distinction in Iraq (2007-2008), Israel (2009), and Yemen (2011-2012).

Alex was an incredible father and avid Florida State football fan and enjoyed playing soccer and football with his son Hudson. He loved role playing with his daughter Audrey and spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. Alex also enjoyed spending time with friends and creating lasting memories with those he loved.

He is survived by Jessica Gottlieb and their children Hudson Ross Gottlieb and Audrey Capri Gottlieb. He is also survived by his mother Carmen Batch, his stepfather Eric Batch, his brother Steven Gottlieb and his father Lee Gottlieb.

Funeral services will be held on August 10, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at McLane Funeral Home, 2215 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA. Jimmy Towson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to help defray funeral expenses and support the family may be made at GoFundMe.
