WASHINGTON Former President Barack Obama rapped Eminem’s award-winning 2002 song “Lose Yourself” at Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign rally on Tuesday after the famed artist introduced Obama to the crowd.

The viral moment comes as Obama campaigned for Harris in key swing states like Wisconsin less than two weeks before Election Day, Nov. 5.

“I’ve done a lot of rallies, so I don’t usually get nervous. But I felt like I was kind of following Eminem,” Obama said as he took the stage in Detroit, Michigan.

“Now I notice my palms are sweaty, my knees are weak, my arms are heavy, I’ve already vomited on my sweater, mom’s spaghetti, I’m nervous, but on the surface I look calm and ready to drop bombs, But I keep forgetting,” Obama said, rapping as the crowd erupted in cheers.

Obama joked that he would “jump out” if Eminem started performing.

Before introducing Obama on stage, Eminem encouraged supporters at Harris’ rally to vote, adding that Detroit and Michigan are in the spotlight this election cycle. Numerous state polls show Harris and former President Donald Trump neck-and-neck in Michigan.

“I also think that people shouldn’t be afraid to express their opinions, and I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are afraid of retaliation and worried about what people will do if they do “Let them express their opinion,” Eminem said at the press conference rally. “I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country in which these and many other freedoms are protected and preserved.”
