EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern’s volleyball game against No. 2 Nebraska on Sunday, Nov. 3, is sold out, the broadcast announced Thursday. The sellout is the first for a home volleyball game in the history of the Northwestern program.

“What a great statement from our Northwestern fans and the Chicago volleyball community,” said head coach Tim Nollan said, “I look forward to Welsh-Ryan providing a raucous environment in which our student-athletes can compete and showcase their skills at the highest level.”

With this success, the Cats are well on their way to setting an attendance record for the third year in a row. After drawing 4,019 against Nebraska in 2022, Northwestern Volleyball surpassed that mark last September with 4,889 fans against Wisconsin.

Once the record falls this year, volleyball will become the second Northwestern sport of 2024 to sell out for the first time, joining women’s basketball, which achieved the feat on Jan. 31 against Iowa.

Fans attending Sunday’s sold-out game against Nebraska are asked to arrive early and use public transportation such as the Purple Line and Metra to reduce traffic and ensure easier access to Welsh-Ryan Arena. No tickets are available at the box office.
