No. 15/16 Football hosts Campbell for homecoming on Saturday

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The No. 15/16 William & Mary football team returns from its open week when it hosts Campbell for Homecoming at Zable Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m

Tickets for the game are available at TribeAthletics.com. William & Mary Athletics, in collaboration with the William & Mary Police Department, has implemented a clear bag policy that governs the size and type of bag that may be carried at W&M Athletics facilities, including Busch Field and Kaplan Arena, in 2024–25. Officially halfway through the regular season, W&M enters Saturday’s game with a 4-2 overall record and a 1-1 record in conference play. In addition to a 3-0 home record this fall, the Tribe has a 10-2 record at Zable Stadium over the last three seasons. The Tribe is currently one of the best offensive teams in the country, ranking third in rushing (264.0), 10th in total offense (454.5), 17th in scoring (33.3) and fourth in third down conversion percentage (.519). Defensively, W&M leads the CAA and ranks eighth nationally in pass efficiency defense (107.45) and also ranks in the top 20 in pass defense (173.0). Additionally, the Tribe ranks eighth nationally in third down conversion defense (.286) and has allowed just 13 fourth quarter points all season.

Campbell also has his bye week behind him and enters the weekend with a 2-4 record overall and a 0-2 mark in CAA action. However, one of the Camels’ victories came at that time. 17 Western Carolina, 24-16. CU currently ranks 13th in the conference in scoring (22.0) and scoring defense (31.3) and has allowed more than 40 points three times this season, including each of its last two games against Delaware State and North Carolina Central.

Saturday’s game will be just the third meeting between W&M and Campbell, while it will be the second meeting as CAA opponents. W&M earned a 34-24 win at Campbell in the 2023 season opener, while it beat the Camels 37-21 at Zable Stadium in 2022.
