What a day of baseball! The Mets and Phillies played a thriller, the Guardians and Tigers laughed, and the Yankees defeated the Royals in a thrilling Game 1 of the ALDS. The Yankees certainly would have liked to have played a sharper game in their postseason debut, but a win is a win is a win. They have a day off today before trying to take a 2-0 lead tomorrow night with Carlos Rodón taking on Kansas City’s Cole Ragans.

We will of course have a lot more ALDS coverage on the website. I’ll go into more detail about the Game 1 win while naming Sara our Player of the Game. Jeff will also discuss which players fans think the Yankees should start at first base and left field, while John provides the Yankees’ social media update for this week.
