After months of tough recovery from a serious knee injury, former Georgia Bulldogs running back Nick Chubb is finally ready to take the field for the Cleveland Browns. Chubb will once again be the lead running back when the Browns face the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7.

This has been a long time coming for Chubb. In Week 2 last season, he suffered a torn ACL after being tackled near the goal line on Monday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers. People feared it was the same injury he suffered playing for Georgia in 2015, but fortunately it was less serious than first thought.

Since then, he’s been taking steps to rehabilitate his left knee, even doing a ton of squats just eight months later. He started the season on the reserve/PUP list, but after seven weeks the star running back will return.

Chubb is the heart of the Browns team. His return is about more than just football. “What’s amazing to me is how much support I’ve received from the city of Cleveland,” Chubb said in a recent story about his recovery.

With Browns running back Jerome Ford confirmed for Week 7, Chubb will most likely take the lead this Sunday against the division rival Bengals.
